About Jerry Butler:
Jerry was one of the most productive receivers in the NFL during his nine year playing career. Buffalo’s first-round draft choice in 1979, would go on to receive numerous accolades and awards, including recognition as the AFC Offensive Rookie-of-the-Year in 1979 as well as earning the Pro-Bowl selection in 1980.
Just before retiring from a 9 year career in the NFL, Jerry started his entrepreneurial journey by becoming the President and co-founder of Butler Construction Company in Springville, NY (1984-2004), Jerry Butler’s “Big Play” Restaurant in Buffalo, NY and Butler’s Imprinted SportsWear Company, also in Buffalo, NY.
Jerry holds a BS degree from Clemson University and an Athlete Certification Program from the Wharton Business School of Management. Jerry also holds a Sports Management Worldwide Certification in Athlete Management from the Harvard Business School - Business Management & Development Program.
Jerry was also an outstanding performer at Clemson in both football and track. He was an All-American choice as a senior and was inducted into the Clemson Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Ring of Honor - the highest honor a Clemson athlete can receive. Jerry has established himself as a community leader. He was the Buffalo Bills- NFL “Man of Year” in 1981 and 1982, and Buffalo Bills Ed Block Courage Award recipient in 1985.

With Jerry’s leadership, Avrij Analytics will launch their newest application, “Player Protect” in the second half of 2020. Player Protect is an application designed to identify when players are the target of online identity attack, hate speech and racist comments.
